Un forte vento solare sta interessando il campo magnetico terrestre. Già da ieri il NOAA ha previsto la possibilità di una tempesta solare geomagnetica di intensità media, G2, tutt’ora presente negli alerts ufficiali. Tale evento ha già scaturito il crearsi di bellissime aurore intorno ai poli, nonchè sul confine canadese e in diversi stati in America. Il NOAA ha protratto ancora per oggi il bollettino, con attività definita “persistente”.
A fast stream of solar wind is buffeting Earth’s magnetic field. When the stream arrived during the late hours of Dec. 7th, a G2-class geomagnetic storm broke out around the poles and Northern Lights spilled over the Canadian border into several US states.
