I tecnici del NOAA hanno aumentato le probabilità al 15% che si possa verificare oggi un brillamento solare di classe X. La mossa è stata suggerita dall’attività di ieri con un quasi-X flare (M6.5), che ha scatenato una CME verso la Terra. La macchia solare AR1719, trovandosi in posizione fronte Terra, resta la probabile fonte di eventuali nuove eruzioni.

NOAA forecasters have raised the odds of an X-class solar flare today to 15%. The move was prompted by yesterday’s almost-X flare (M6), which hurled a CME toward Earth. Earth-facing sunspot AR1719 would be the probable source of any eruptions.
