Aggiornamento attività solare: Nuovo alert del NOAA: dopo l’R1 di questa mattina e di successivo brillamento solare di Classe M, (probabilmente diretto verso la Terra) ora viene comunicata emissione radio di tipologia IV, che indica massiccia attività di eruzione solare tipicamente associata al rilascio di massa coronale e tempesta di radiazioni solari.

NOAA ALERT: Type IV Radio Emission – Begin Time: 2013 Mar 15 0620 UTC – Description: Type IV emissions occur in association with major eruptions on the sun and are typically associated with strong coronal mass ejections and solar radiation storms. A magnetic filament snaking around sunspot AR1692 erupted on March 15th at about 0600 UT. The slow explosion, which took hours to unfold, produced an M1-class solar flare and a bright CME. The central location of the explosion combined with multiple views of the CME from SOHO and NASA’s twin STEREO spacecraft suggest that the cloud is heading almost directly toward Earth.
