E’ veramente gigantesca l’esplosione avvenuta su Sole oggi. I campi magnetici che si snodano a metà nell’emisfero meridionale del Sole sono esplosi in tandem, producendo un prominenza così grande che non si adatta nemmeno all’interno di questa immagine effettuata dal Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) della NASA. L’esplosione ha provocato il rilascio di massa coronale (CME) nello spazio, ma non sembra diretto verso la Terra.
A truly gigantic explosion happened on the sun today. Magnetic fields snaking halfway across the sun’s southern hemisphere erupted in tandem, producing a prominence so big, it doesn’t fit inside this image from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The blast hurled a CME into space, but the cloud does not appear to be heading for Earth.
