La Terra sta entrando nella scia di detriti lasciati dalla cometa Halley, fonte dell’appuntamento annuale dello sciame meteorico delle Eta Aquaridi.
Le previsioni indicano il picco di massima attività tra il 5 e il 6 Maggio 2013, con un picco di 55 meteore per ora, più versoi l’emisfero sud. Il momento migliore per l’osservazione è quello che riguarda le ore di buoi subito prima dell’alba.
Earth is entering a stream of debris from Halley’s Comet, source of the annual eta Aquarid meteor shower.
Forecasters expect the shower to peak on May 5th and 6th with as many as 55 meteors per hour in the southern hemisphere and half that number in the north. The best time to look is during the dark hours before local sunrise.
